This 19cm ceramic square bowl has been hand-painted by Chantelle Mullard from Keringke Arts Aboriginal Art Centre in Ltyentye Apurte, Northern Territory. The square form provides a perfect canvas for her fresh, vibrant design.
The interior and base are painted a bright, striking blue, overlaid with circular dot patterns in blues and light greens. Black and white dots climb up the corners, while delicate comma-shaped strokes in light green add movement across the blue background. Additional white dots with blue centres create contrast and depth, resulting in a lively, fresh and layered effect. The underside is also painted bright blue and signed by the artist.
