Desert Dog Pendant Featuring Dog of Yuendumu by Karen Napaljarri Barnes

This is one style of Occulture’s Desert Dog Pendants. It is from the Karen Napaljarri Barnes Collection, a collaboration with Occulture and Warlukurlangu artist Karen Napaljarri Barnes featuring her Dog of Yuendumu artwork. The artwork is printed on an anodised aluminium dog tag and has a 45cm black rubber necklace.

Jewellery designer Lisa Engeman works in collaboration with the Warlukurlangu people of the Yuendumu region of the central Australian desert, Gamilaraay woman, Arkeria Rose Armstrong, and a lineage of well-known and respected artists from Utopia and Yuelumu country, including Raymond Walters Japanangka, transferring their artwork on to exquisitely designed contemporary jewellery pieces. Made by hand, each item possesses unique, intrinsic beauty with variations in shape, size, and metal finish.
