Just like Ancient Journeys, the world-class Daintree Discovery Centre is proudly operated by the Gulf Regional Economic Aboriginal Trust (GREAT). Located in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, a World Heritage-listed site about two hours drive north of Cairns, it is an essential part of our social enterprise network.
The Discovery Centre offers an excellent starting point for your rainforest experience, featuring a spectacular 23-metre canopy tower, an aerial walkway, reptiles, bugs, animated dinosaurs, a rainforest aquarium, and a cafe. Profits from the Centre are channelled directly into funding vital community development projects for First Nations peoples in the Lower Gulf.
