We guarantee a full refund for any Aboriginal art you return within 10 days of receipt. Please ensure that the artwork is returned to us within this 10-day period; we will issue the refund upon receipt of the returned item.

Shipping & Delivery for Paintings

Ancient Journeys ships unstretched paintings within Australia and to international destinations. We typically do not ship stretched paintings due to the high shipping costs involved, which result from the extensive packaging required. However, if requested, we can provide a quote for shipping a stretched painting, though be prepared for significant costs.

Shipping costs are challenging to calculate for all orders. We reserve the right to contact you prior to shipping if the actual shipping cost is significantly higher than what you were initially charged. Conversely, if there is a possibility to save on shipping, we will inform you and issue a refund.

Interstate Orders

Orders within Australia are shipped via Australia Post from Cairns, Queensland and typically arrive within 3-5 business days after payment confirmation. Deliveries to Australian postal boxes take about 4-6 business days.

International Orders

We ship international orders by airmail through Australia Post or another chosen courier, with expected delivery times of 10-14 business days after payment confirmation. Most orders come with a tracking number, allowing you to monitor your parcel's progress. Please contact us if you have any concerns about your shipment.

Import Duties/Taxes

Please note that importing retail items into foreign countries may incur duties or taxes. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to pay these fees. You may contact your local Customs Office to check if duties apply or use an online import duty and tax calculator. Note that the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) applies to all orders within Australia but will automatically be deducted from the cost of international orders.

Framing/Stretching

Our Aboriginal artwork is displayed in our galleries on lightweight Australian pine stretcher frames. For international shipping, paintings are usually detached from their frames, rolled, and packed into cylindrical containers. The cost of a stretched painting purchased in-store includes the stretching service, allowing the artwork to be carried home on its frame.
