Tears of Fire Artwork Story

Tears of Fire is based on my own personal journey. I designed a tattoo when I was  28yrs old for my birthday, I wanted something to show my loss. I came up with three  tear drops filled with fire to represent the sadness of missed oportunities and  connections I will never build with my parents and the anger I felt from dishonesty,  abandonment and all the hurt that comes with that.  

However, over the years I have grown and matured to accept that I cannot change the  past, I can acknowledge it, I can even live with it, but can never change it.    

I made TOF my Artist Logo and this painting, although representing all of the above,  it also shows growth, expansion and life after hurt. The little bright sections on either  side represents all the wonderful moments as well, the achaievements that I value and  

the hope that good can always come from struggle, we just have to work at it.  The intracasies of my work is only matched by the confusion and the overwhelming  storyline that has been my life. Trying to paint my pain is still a part of my growth  and I will forever be learning from it.
