Mornington Island Book : Turtle and Wallaby Told by Phil Jack Illustrated by Year 2 Students

Turtle gives wallaby a lift across the water and in return wallaby helps turtle escape from hunters. The story in this book is not a traditional Lardil story, but it has been told at Mornington Island for a long time now. Phil Jack made this story up and used to tell it to children in the 1970s.
